Kakeru is a fifth-grade elementary school student with an unusual dream for his age: to open the best record shop in Japan. Fascinated by the retro charm of vinyl records, he is determined to spread their appeal among his classmates and friends. To achieve this, he decides to form a record club at school, gathering a group of like-minded kids who share his passion for music and the unique experience of listening to records.
However, starting a record club in the digital age is not as straightforward as Kakeru hoped. He and his friends face challenges in convincing others of the value of vinyl, from finding records to organizing listening sessions. Despite the obstacles, Kakeru's enthusiasm is contagious, and the group becomes increasingly addicted to the "vinyl swamp," discovering the joys and quirks of analog music together.
