Novelist Orihara is going through a terrible streak of bad luck. He placed second in a novel competition, his part-time job's company went bankrupt, and his fiancée called off their engagement to run off with her boss. Seeking a break from his misfortunes, he decides to take the solo trip he had originally planned with her.
From the airport onward, a mysterious man keeps appearing to help Orihara at every turn, leaving him unsure whether the stranger is a Good Samaritan or a stalker. During the trip, he meets another novelist named Jeffrey, only to discover that Jeffrey writes BL novels—a revelation that puts Orihara in an awkward and dangerous situation. When he is attacked, the helpful stranger rescues him, and Orihara finally recognizes the man as Takeru, his former fiancée's younger brother. Takeru confesses that he has loved Orihara ever since his sister first introduced them, and Orihara must decide if this confession can turn his luck around.
