Performance Complex

Mayu and Yuuma made a childhood promise: she would become his future bride. Years later, Yuuma has forgotten the pact entirely, while Mayu still clings to it, believing she can fulfill it by being smarter than him and kinder than her mother.

As they grow older, Yuuma's forgotten promise turns into resentment. He becomes jealous of Mayu's efforts and intelligence, and his frustration escalates into violent behavior. The story follows the dark consequences of a broken childhood vow.
