In 1930s Shanghai, a young Japanese woman named Yuki arrives in the bustling city to work as a hostess at a high-class cabaret. She quickly becomes entangled in the lives of the patrons and staff, navigating the glamorous yet treacherous world of the nightlife district. Amidst the jazz music and dazzling lights, Yuki forms a deep bond with a mysterious Chinese man, whose past and secrets slowly unravel.
