Mikase is a collection of six short stories by Ikuko Hatoyama. The first, Anemone to Fuusokukei, follows a young woman who encounters a mysterious man with a connection to the wind. In Insulator Tree Story, a girl discovers a strange tree that seems to hold secrets. Binan Kazura tells the tale of a beautiful vine with unusual properties. Kifu Tsuki revolves around a moonlit night and a fateful meeting. Spangle explores the glittering world of performance and illusion. The final story, Hakka no Kaigaku (Symphony) II, weaves a narrative around music and memory. Each story stands alone, linked by themes of nature, emotion, and the supernatural.
