Hirose Arisu dreams of becoming a mangaka. She admires her classmate Usami, who already seems to be on the path to success as a great manga artist. Arisu struggles to find her own footing in the competitive world of manga creation.
As Arisu tries to improve her skills and get her work noticed, she faces constant setbacks and doubts about her talent. The gap between her own efforts and Usami's natural ability grows wider, forcing her to question whether she can ever achieve her dream or if she is destined to remain a failure.
