Ako, a quiet sixteen-year-old schoolgirl, sees her ordinary life suddenly covered in blood when a fair-complexioned vampire named Hikaru appears and bites her. As the vampire drinks her blood, Ako feels an indescribable pleasure run through her entire body, a sensation that shocks her to the core. Hikaru's only words after the attack are a chilling invitation: "Come and hunt with me."

Now turned into one of the undead, Ako must come to terms with her new existence as a creature that feasts on human blood. Under her master's command, she hunts alongside him, but the weight of her transformation grows heavier with every passing night. Meanwhile, her only living brother still waits for his sister to come home, unaware that she has joined the ranks of the very monsters she once feared.
