Do You Remember the South Island's POW Camp?
君よ知るや南の獄
In 1945, after World War II had ended, many Japanese soldiers remain interned at a POW camp on a remote island. Lieutenant Tsubaki, a Japanese prisoner, sneaks into the U.S. Army infirmary to obtain medicine for Corporal Mikami, one of his men suffering from malaria.
Caught in the act, Tsubaki is brought before Major Howard, the camp's commanding officer. Howard offers a grim bargain: medicine for Mikami in exchange for Tsubaki becoming his personal plaything. With no other choice, Tsubaki submits, enduring increasingly cruel and humiliating games at Howard's hands.
