Kenshuui Shoujo

Hanashima Ruka is a new doctor-in-training at Kamakura Hospital in Kanagawa Prefecture, starting her first day riding in an ambulance with the emergency services. She has worked hard to become an emergency doctor, a dream she has held ever since her own rescue from a subway explosion. Although she never learned the name of the doctor who carried her out of the rubble, she is determined to become just like him.

Under the guidance of her young male supervisor, Dr. Sanno, and alongside her fellow trainees, Ruka faces the harsh realities of the ER. She quickly learns that saving lives is not always thrilling—patients arrive with the most urgent and severe problems, and despite the best care, many will not survive. Ruka must confront these challenges while striving to give her patients the best possible care.
