Mayumi is tired of the depressing effects her period has on her life, so she decides to try a menstrual cup. Takashi carries a sad story about hair removal that has shaped his experiences. Nanami has struggled with speaking ever since she was teased about her voice in middle school. They are among seven people whose lives are touched by the unexpected ways their own bodies resist control.

Each story in this omnibus explores a different physical reality that people are supposed to be able to manage but cannot. From menstruation to body hair to the sound of a voice, the characters confront the gap between societal expectations and the messy, uncooperative truth of living in a body. Their journeys are intimate, awkward, and deeply human.
