Kanon

Kanon Matsukura is a high school sophomore whose name comes from her father's favorite classical piece, "Kanon." One day, she hears the same melody being played awkwardly on the piano by her math teacher, Azume. From that moment, the tune lingers in her mind, setting the stage for a tender story of a girl falling in love.

The volume also includes three other short stories. In "Happy Rain," Tsubasa struggles to confess her feelings to a basketball player and ends up sharing an unexpected moment with his teammate during a rainstorm. "Bang!!" follows Shinyama, who injures his hand after jumping to stop Daiyumi from what he thinks is a suicide attempt—only to discover it was a toy gun. Finally, "Santa is Coming" finds Ayumi lying about having a boyfriend to avoid teasing, only to run into her tormentor while babysitting her nephew.
