After School Sword Club

Gaie Kensei is starting high school alongside his childhood friend Nireki Hikari. Eager to join the school's prestigious kendo club, he is excited to learn from the older students. However, his father is a legendary kendo competitor, and when the club members discover that Kensei is not nearly as skilled, they refuse to let him join.

Wandering in despair, Kensei stumbles upon the secret hideout of Ashihara Naoto. Despite her obvious talent for kendo, she spends her time reading and claims to hate the sport. Naoto reluctantly agrees to train him so he can prove himself to the club, but she refuses to become a member herself. On the final day of sign-ups, Kensei finally earns his place, and Hikari joins as the first female member, setting the stage for their kendo-filled high school life.
