Houkago no Katasumi, Kiss no Zanzou is a collection of seven short stories exploring the awkward, exciting, and sometimes overwhelming moments of teenage romance and desire.

In "Saikou Kanojo," everyone fears Chisa's boyfriend Masa because of his intimidating face, but she knows he's actually a kind boy. "Yuuwaku Gokko" follows Sayuki, a 16-year-old who has never had a boyfriend, as she begins dating her older, popular cousin Takumi. In "Iinchou no Himegoto," committee chairman Ayano wakes up in the bed of Kagura, the son of a yakuza family, wearing only her underwear. "Setsuna no Chuushin" focuses on Chiri, tired of only meeting friends, who finds herself approached by Eiji, the boy her friend likes. "Daytime wa Mayonaka ni" features Himeko, a poor girl working as a maid for 10,000 yen an hour, who is suddenly embraced by a mysterious man. Finally, in "Sokubaku Darling," Aki ends up in bed with Sakamaki, the school's biggest playboy, and must deal with the marks he leaves behind.
