Oda Haine enters the palace to return a key bearing the royal symbol and accidentally stumbles into the harem. In this kingdom, such a trespass is punishable by death. However, the sheikh, Ashraf, takes a liking to him and decides to spare his life by making him a slave.
Ashraf's servant, Q—formerly known as Al Sha—is reunited with his former lover, Faisal, who is Ashraf's older brother. As their paths cross again, old feelings resurface, and Q must decide whether to give his heart another chance.
The story also follows Haine and Ashraf's evolving relationship, along with glimpses into their daily lives through vacation episodes and diary entries. A separate short tale, "The Singer," tells of a beautiful court singer facing castration to preserve his youthful voice and looks.
