I Can't Throw Away Books

本が捨てられない

Mangaka Rumiko Takahashi, the creator of beloved series like Ranma ½ and Inuyasha, faces a familiar problem: she has too many books. Her home is overflowing with volumes she has collected over the years, from reference materials and manga to novels and magazines. Despite the clutter, she finds it nearly impossible to part with any of them.

This autobiographical manga follows Takahashi as she attempts to organize her massive library and confronts the emotional attachment she has to each book. She tries various methods to reduce her collection, but every title holds memories or potential future use. The struggle between practicality and sentimentality becomes a humorous and relatable challenge.
