In 1975, a young woman named Yuki lives in a small Japanese town, where she works as a teacher and cares for her aging father. Her quiet life is disrupted when she meets a mysterious man named Kiyoshi, who arrives in the town during the winter festival season.
As Yuki and Kiyoshi grow closer, they uncover a shared connection to a tragic event from the past, which threatens to unravel their present. The festival preparations and the cold winter landscape mirror the emotional distance between them, forcing Yuki to confront her own fears and desires.
