Busshimen! The Image Maker

Narasaki Genzou is a sculptor of holy icons for temples, a craft he approaches with utmost seriousness. His friend Sakura, however, is deeply immersed in the otaku culture of crafting figures, and tries to convince Genzou of its merit. Reluctantly, Genzou begins to see that both forms of art share a common purpose: creating work for the benefit of others.

Driven by a desire to improve his own skills, Genzou starts exploring the otaku subculture. As he delves into this new world, he must reconcile his traditional values with the vibrant, unconventional community of figure makers, discovering what it truly means to be an artist.
