He spends his days listlessly, until he meets a mysterious girl named Polaris who challenges him to a game. Her unconventional and brilliant play reignites his love for the game, and he begins to see shogi in a new light.
As Kouichi dives back into the world of competitive shogi, he must confront his own limitations and the rivals who push him to grow. With Polaris as his inspiration, he strives to reclaim his former skill and discover what it truly means to play for the joy of the game.
