In the age of civil wars, Kamemaru, a young page, is taken under the patronage of a feudal lord. However, his new life is far from kind, as he becomes the impotent lord's nightly plaything, enduring a harsh existence in the lord's castle.
One day, Kamemaru encounters Nakajou, a samurai tasked with overseeing the rice-tax delivery. A forbidden bond begins to form between them, drawing both into a dangerous and secret relationship that defies the rigid social codes of their time.
