After being dumped by his girlfriend, arrogant professional baseball pitcher Hidaka finds himself alone on a twenty-day cruise. He spends his time drinking excessively, getting into fights, and attempting to pick up women, quickly earning the displeasure of the ship's eccentric captain.
When Hidaka rudely refuses to give an autograph to a young boy, he unknowingly crosses a line—the boy is the captain's son. This final act of arrogance convinces the captain that the ship would be better off without the cocky ace, setting the stage for a tense confrontation at sea.
