Makihara Kosuke works as a substitute janitor at Sazanami So, a women's dormitory, while his aunt, the regular janitor, travels abroad. As his contract nears its end, he becomes concerned about one of the residents: Jinnai Mio, who remains distant and refuses to eat the meals he prepares.
Determined to connect with her, Kosuke decides to cook the former janitor's favorite dish in hopes that Mio will finally open up to him. His efforts to break through her cold exterior lead to unexpected developments within the dormitory's daily life.
