Sakurako, a beautiful widow, runs a small coffee shop called "Sakurai" in a quiet shopping arcade. The arcade's customer numbers are dwindling after the opening of a large new amusement park, "Ocean Land," nearby.
The owner of Ocean Land proposes to demolish the old arcade and build a big shopping mall in its place. Only Sakurako opposes the plan, determined to protect the coffee shop she filled with memories of her late husband. She accepts a challenge: if her shop can attract more customers than Ocean Land's own café during the summer, the redevelopment will be called off. To win, Sakurako reopens "Sakurai" as a cosplay café.
