Ten years after the war between the Dragon Devil clan and the Dragon God clan ended in victory for the Dragon Knights, the world enjoys a fragile peace. The three kings of the Dragon Devil clan were sealed away, but some of their followers managed to escape and now lurk in the shadows.

A young man named Rike, who dreams of becoming a Dragon Knight, arrives at a small village. There he meets Karisu, a girl who initially mistakes him for a thief. When the survivors of the Dragon Devil clan attack the village, Rike discovers that Karisu holds a secret far greater than he imagined. This attack is only the beginning of their troubles.
