The Strawman

A fisherman spends his days by the water, watching helplessly as flocks of birds swoop down to feast on the fish he catches. The birds are relentless, returning again and again no matter how much he shouts or waves his arms. His livelihood is threatened, and he grows increasingly frustrated as each attempt to drive them away fails.

Determined to find a clever solution, the fisherman decides to disguise himself as a scarecrow. He crafts a simple costume and stands motionless among the reeds, hoping the birds will mistake him for a harmless figure. As he holds his pose for hours, the line between man and scarecrow begins to blur, and the birds grow bolder. What follows is a silent, playful battle of wits between the fisherman and the persistent birds, where patience and deception become his only weapons.
